It's A Mind Thing
We are now in the 2nd half of this wonderful year. How are you looking on achieving those wonderful New Year's resolutions or promises you set for this year??? If you are not doing what's needed to make them happen, could be the limitations that have been planted in your subconscious mind. Until you change your subconscious, you will forever live with unfulfilled goals.
Jesse Jackson is attributed the quote: “If you mind can conceive it and your heart believe it, you can achieve it”. It is perhaps one of the greatest truisms of success that will ever be stated. Many motivational gurus are making big bucks teaching personal development classes aimed at helping individuals define and achieve personal success. Indeed, I plan to be one of them. But the basic truth is all the desire in the world will not lead to success if you are not first steeped in a steadfast belief that you are worthy and deserving of what you say you desire. Any belief system starts in what is rooted in your subconscious mind.
You will never have a successful life or achieve positivity in life with a negative mind. The Apostle Paul said, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." In other words, do not let the mess, doubt and negativity of this world latch onto your mind, but every day fill your mind with positive thoughts, productive information and advancing knowledge. The key to these affirmations is to speak these things until it becomes rooted in your subconscious, which drives how you think, how you perceive, and how you respond to the everyday things in your life. Once your subconscious is rooted in the positive, there is not much you cannot achieve if you put your mind to it.
A positive subconscious belief system keeps you focused on hope, joy, victory; while a negative subconscious has an auto-responder that focuses on what can’t be done, what looks too hard, what is prone to defeat. A positive mind (subconscious driver) will propel you forward when your body says ‘I’m tire; I want to quit; I can’t do it’. It drives that positive attitude despite the situation.
Regardless of the circumstances, you can’t let the situation direct your path or defeat your purpose. Your mind and will to succeed must be stronger than the situation that might seem overwhelming. If you believe there is no way out, you will not find a way even if it exists. One of the keys to your success going forward is to develop a separatist mentality. A separatist mentality is a strong-willed determination to tune out all the negativity when everyone is telling you how impossible, improbable, unlikely and fool hardy a thing is. It’s a steadfast, unmovable will that refuses to internalize the piercing messages telling you to give up because the journey is fruitless; people looking at you as if you have just grown three horns; or individuals turning their backs because your dreams make them uncomfortable.
If you listen to the naysayers or negativity mongers, it will become firmly entrenched in your subconscious mind as a driver of your actions. Once that happens, no matter how much you consciously say you want to achieve, want to succeed, want something better, you will never move to make it happen. When others say it’s impossible, the separatist mentality says ‘All things are possible, so I’ll give it my best shot’. When others say it can’t be done, the separatist says ‘I can do all things; so I’ll find a way’. When others say you are doomed to fail, the separatist says ‘failure will only make me stronger, not defeat me’. With the right mindset, there really is nothing you cannot do. Whatever you don’t do in this life, is a decision that you make and outcomes that you will have to live with. So make up your mind now to make your dreams your reality.
Your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your character, and your character charts your destiny. When you know that you are destined for greater things than where you are, only a steadfast, determined, well-made up mind will keep you on the path to success. If you let the things of life defeat your subconscious mind, you are already defeated in life. Again, if your mind (the essence of you) can conceive and your heart believe, you can achieve! If you can get it firmly entrenched in your head that you can do it, you can make it happen!!
