Being a parent of ten years now, one would think I could be considered a seasoned expert at this point. According to research and what Malcolm Gladwell captured in his award winning book, Outliers, one is considered an expert at something after practicing/doing a particular task, or activity, for at least ten thousand hours. This is aptly referred to as the 10,000 Hour Rule.

I am thrilled you are with me on my journey to celebrate the launch of the latest installment in my children’s book series; Life is Fine, When You Are Aligned! When I discussed the book launch with my publicist, he suggested I write capture a few insights into why I wrote this book. So, here we go!

Cancer...she made a comment that was very empowering and profound; “When he was diagnosed and underwent the treatments, he always said ‘This is not my disease.’” He never owned it. He had a knowing that it wasn’t his and he did not intend on keeping it. My wife and this man have a deep inner knowing, a strength, that most people probably do not realize resides deep within each of us.
